Pauline Cooper, of Latonia Lakes, gives her son, Tim, 11, a hug, on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. She said that she used to hug him tightly, but can now only hug his head for fear of opening his wound. On December 2, Tim and three of his friends were playing with a stolen rifle when the gun discharged. The bullet entered his body, ricocheted and punctured a lung. He is recovering, but has to get used to a less active lifestyle.
